the day everything was closed

so in an effort to have the best last day of summer vacation ever, ad and i told the kids (on friday) we were going to spend the afternoon at kangaroo jack's.  the boys and i arrived at the lovely wilker abode around 12:30, had a wonderful lunch with the wilker ladies and headed to our super-fun destination.  as we pulled down the street it quickly became apparent that the establishment had no laborers on this labor day.  a few calls to other indoor playgrounds we found ourselves wondering what to do with the rainy day before school started.  the kids were really great about the whole thing and made the best of it by building an awesome fort in the dining room. ad and i got to chit chat (which is one of my most fave things to do) and listen to the imagination of 2 ten and 1 six year old come to life!  the day came to a close with dinner at cheeseburger in paradise and cupcakes a la mrs. wilker!
