a trip to the ER

i love what god is doing at believers - in the lives of his people!

in the past couple of weeks there have been some sky soaring highs - like a servant evangelism project handing out 2000 bags of coffee to our community, reminding them to "spring ahead" and join us at church last sunday morning; like hearing multiple stories of life change happening in small groups as people are learning of the amazing grace and unconditional love their father has for them - but there have been some to the depths of the ocean lows. the kind of lows that break my heart in a way that makes me long for heaven.

regularly, but lately especially, i am overwhelmed by the winding journey i am on seeking greater understanding and deeper appreciation of god's love for me. and though there are wounds that are gapping, there is a sweetness permiating the healing process. while the sick and physicians assistants are weary and questioning their ability for yet another procedure, the physician is at work! miracles are happening and i watch in awe and wonder, gratefully by his side. it is only by his masterful hand that shattered dreams and broken hearts can be made whole again. as the wounded gaze upon the scars that are sure to mark the essence of who they are, my prayer is that they serve only as a reminder of the great restoration that comes when surrendered to what only he can do!
