snail mail

this morning, i checked the mail...as i sorted through various pieces of junk mail, tax documents, and other nonsense a brightly colored postcard caught my eye. i was excited at the thought of receiving something of value, written just for me. i got my anticipation under control as to not get the big let down that the car dealership down the street is offering free coffee if i buy a new transmition, i turned the card over and low and behold...it was something of great value! my friend brittany sent us a note telling of her time in kenya. as i read through my tear-filled eyes, my heartrate quickened. i can't begin to put into words the excitement i felt for her. we have 2 other girls from our church getting ready to go to tanzania this summer, with liberty university. and as we (our staff and volunteers) prepare for our next series, glocal, my mind is going a thousand miles a minute. i love what god is teaching me right now. believers is going to be involved in some big servant evangelism projects during the month of march, our small groups are filling up for this semester, god is challenging and changing people!! what a privelage to be a part of what he is doing! sometimes i just can't believe that he would use me to accomplish anything for him...but he does and i am so grateful. god is moving!!
