desert song

i just have to share how blessed we are. the last couple of weeks have been a little trying (financially) in the carl house - and i'm sure for many other families as well. nate had closings lined up and they all fell through. i'm the one who usually doesn't get overly stressed in those situations, but i was feeling beaten down last week. nate asked me what was wrong and i told him that i was really just struggling with my own reaction to the situation. i mean i have known the amazing power and faithfulness of god move mountains in my family time and time again and yet i found myself questioning. that bothered me more than the finanical strain itself. well nate, being the wonderful man he is, just started praying for us. i didn't know how god was going to answer his prayer, but i had an amazing sense of peace wash over me. during our worship time in church that sunday we sang "desert song". even that morning god provided! plus, nate has had a couple of the closing come through this week - praise the lord! i have been reminded, once again, that no matter what season i'm in god is god and for that reason and that reason alone i can be glad!
