i was up late last night. not for any reason other than nate and i kept watching stupid tv shows. i was determined that i was going to sleep in today. shockingly, i don't have to be anywhere this morning! i was all excited to have my window open, nice cool breeze coming through the room, snuggled up until...whenever. apparently, what i had planned for my morning is not what the lord had planned! :)
over the last several weeks believers has had thousands of "touches" in our community. through personal invites, servant evangelism projects (like passing out $5.00 gift cards at starbucks and waterbottles at ball parks), and yard signs staked throughout neighborhoods, we have been able to invite over 4,400 people to join us for services this sunday!!
early this morning the lord started putting those people on my mind. because of my job, i have the great privelage of hearing lots of stories about people that folks have been inviting. i have been praying that believers' people would have a boldness that they haven't had before - that they would have courage to ask their friends, neighbors, co-workers, and family to come to church with them. i've also prayed that as they stepped out in faith and reached beyond their comfort zones, the Lord would bless their efforts! and, HE IS!!
this sunday is HUGE! and not because of the numbers that we could hit, but because we know each person walking into believers on sunday morning will be given the opportunity to hear about our RISEN SAVIOR and HIS great love for them!
so, i continue to pray. i pray not only for believers, but for THE church. we live in a world full of lost people who are searching for peace. church, rise up! my prayer is that through the uniqueness of each church people will be introduced to the Prince of Peace, the King of kings, and the Lord of lords!
i pray for changed lives this easter!
