mother's day

i haven't posted in a while, but this day requires one as i have one of the most amazing moms in the world.  i am sure of it.  i know that there are many who would debate me over such a statement and they'd probably be able to give me a run for my money - god's has created many fantastic women.  on the other hand, i am very aware that there are many who cannot make such a claim or that could have, but are no longer blessed by her presence in their life.  and knowing that makes me even more grateful.

as i type this, my mom is at e & k's watching the kiddos...on mother's day...and having a wonderful time.  she has been living with us for 3 years now and i wouldn't trade that (i would trade the space we're all in, but i wouldn't trade her being with us :s) for anything.  my boys adore her.  if they don't see her in a 24 hour period they miss her.

she is a woman full of grace and mercy.  she is a true follower of chirst - she walks the walk. her strength is unmatched. and the best part about her strength is that its quiet...the kind of strength that is gentle, not in your face...the kind that come from the lord. she has taught me so much about patience and faith. one of my favorite memories of her is when i was very young (probably around 5 or 6) i snuck into a room and listened to her pray.  i had heard her pray many times and have many times since, but that moment...i will never forget.

and although i look down on her, i have always looked up to her.  my mom is the proverbs 31 woman, and so i rise up and call her blessed.
